Barbara Weisman: e-RYT 200 Yoga Alliance.
I completed my 200 hour teacher training with a distinguished YogaWorks senior teacher, Joan Hyman in August 2012.
I have been practicing yoga for the past twelve years in Portland, Oregon and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. With my experience, I have developed an ever evolving practice. My teachers have included Rodney Yee, David Swenson, Jill Manning, Philip Askew and have taken numerous workshops with Sadie Nardini. After spending five days at Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health in Massachusetts with Sadie I decided to become a teacher. At the present time. I have a regular practice at the Yoga Garden in Narberth, Pennsylvania. I also teach a small private group of women on the main line in suburban Philadelphia.
My intention is to continue to explore all of the limbs of yoga. Alignment and acceptance are the keys to my practice, and I hope to share these in my classes. There is always somewhere to go in your yoga practice, and I want to help my clients to explore all the possibilities.
I am also an accomplished chef. I owned and operated a restaurant in Portland, Oregon for thirteen years and managed the prepared foods department at the Swarthmore Coop for 5 and a half years. To tie the food interest with the yoga practice is a work in progress. There will be recipes posted in the Adventures in the Yoga Kitchen page.
